How to run a Successful Fete

| Whether you are a part of a school, church, youth, sporting or other community organisation you will be an extremely lucky puppy if you are not always seeking more money and/or resources. So, how often does your committee wheel out that old, "No worries Cobber, let's have a fete", line? And what makes a successful fete, anyway? To me, aside from raising much needed funds, a fete is the opportunity for a wide variety of people with a broad range of interests and skills to enjoy each others company while working toward a common goal. It represents a part of the glue that bonds a community or organisation. Never forget that while Fate happens, Fetes are created. |
