Christmas Bonbons

Make your own
Christmas Bonbons

I know that it is easy to just go to the shop and buy a big box of bonbons but it is not a whole lot of fun is it.
If you follow the instructions here you can use up those leftover bits of Christmas wrapping paper and fill your bonbons with stuff that you want in them.
Not only are you saving waste but you will have loads of fun as well.

What
For each bonbon you will need the centre of a toilet roll (give it a light hit with a spray disinfectant), fancy paper, tissue paper or crepe paper cut to A4 size (If they are big enough it would be best to use offcuts from your gift wrapping) and the stuff to put inside.

What to put inside
You can use any party favours that you choose though I would put in a balloon, a blowout, a hat or crown, some sweets and a joke or riddle.
These should be wrapped in clingwrap or tissue and inserted into the toilet roll centre.

How to make a bonbon
Place your filled tube in the centre of the long side of your paper with the design out and roll the tube up in the paper (see left).
Lightly glue the edge with a gum or paste and seal right along it.
Squish in the ends right at the tube as the picture at the top of the page and give each end a light twist and Bingo, you're all done.
