Hi !

Grandpa Pencil really loves junk.
He believes that you can have more fun with some paper, boxes and string than a squillion inch television set.
Planes, boats, cars, time machines, picture frames and a thousand other things can be made from a lot of the stuff that would normally go into the bin.
In this series we are going to show you how to start your collection and give you a variety of things to make.
Very soon you will be as resourceful as Grandpa and learn how to help your planet.

Most of the stuff that we will be using can be scrounged but some will need to be purchased.

Nothing we use here, though, will cost very much and you don't have to buy it all at once.

You will need some paints, brushes, felt tipped pens, crayons and coloured pencils but you need them anyway.

The rest of the things you will probably need to buy are;

Adhesive tape, electrical tape, packaging tape, drinking straws (both bendy and straight), coloured pipe cleaners, balloons, coloured cotton ball things, paper party plates, bowls and cups, icy pole sticks, PVA craft glue, paste, gum and coloured crepe paper.

We will tell you of any other special things as the projects require.
