Ingredients

- 200 g Split Peas
- 2 1/2 lt. Water
- Some Bacon Bones
- 12 Peppercorns

- Salt to taste
- 1 Onion
- 5 g Dried Mint
- 20 g Flour
- 1 pinch Curry Powder

You will need
A mixing bowl, a large saucepan with lid, a sharp knife, a cutting board, a course strainer and a wooden spoon

Directions
|
- Soak peas overnight in some of the water
- Place in large saucepan with bacon bones, salt, Peppercorns,and remaining water
- Bring slowly to the boil
- Dice onions and add to the pan
|

- Cook slowly for 3 hours with the lid on
- Push through a course strainer a cup at a time
- Return to the saucepan adding the dried mint
- blend the flour smoothly with cold water
- Add to soup and bring to the boil
