Ingredients

medium chopped Onions
- 65
ml Water
- 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon Juice
- 20
g (1 tablespoon) Butter

tablespoon Plain Flour
- Salt
and Pepper to taste
- 185
ml hot Milk
- 1
teaspoon chopped Parsley

You
will need

sharp
knife,
a cutting
board,
a saucepan,
a jug
or
bowl
and
a wooden
spoon

Directions
|
- Place
onions, lemon and water in
a pan and cook until onions
are soft
- Strain
the onions and retain the
liquid
- Melt
butter in the pan and stir
in the flour cooking gently
until bubbly
- Remove
from the heat and gradually
stir in the milk and the
onion liquid
|
|
- Add
salt and pepper to taste
- Return
to heat and cook, stirring
constantly until thick and
smooth
- Fold
in the parsley and cook for
a further 1 minute
