Ingredients

- 1/2 cup Milk
- 2 cups Sugar
- 1 pinch Cream of Tartar
|

- 100 g Preserved Cherries
- 2 teaspoons Butter
|
|
You will need
A saucepan, a mixing spoon, greaseproof or waxed paper and Swiss roll tin/s
|

Directions
|
- Place milk and sugar into a saucepan
- Stir over a low heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture boils
- Add cream of tartar and cherries
- Stir and bring to boiling point then add butter
|
|
- Remove the spoon and boil for 6 minutes
- Cool slightly and stir until the mixture thickens
- Press into Swiss roll tin/s lined with waxed or greaseproof paper
- Turn out and cut into pieces when cold
