Ingredients

- 300 g (1 1/2 cups) Icing Sugar or Caster Sugar
- 100 g (1/4 cup) Ground Almonds
- 1 Egg White
|

- 1 Egg Yoke
- 20 ml (1 tablespoon) Sherry, Orange or Lemon Juice
|
|
You will need
A mixing bowl, a wooden spoon, a sifter, a board and a rolling pin along with a smoothing spatula and a brush
|

Directions
|
- Sift sugar
- Add almonds and mix well
- Mix into a very stiff paste with egg yoke and liquid
|
|
- Place on a board that has been dusted with icing sugar
- Roll out to desired thickness
- Brush cake with egg white and apply icing
